1. What should I do During the test?

An estrogen blood test entails a healthcare practitioner drawing blood from a vein in your arm. The procedure involves the following steps:

1. The practitioner begins by using an alcohol wipe to disinfect the area where the needle will be inserted.
2. A rubber tourniquet is tied around your upper arm to facilitate vein exposure.
3. The needle is then inserted into the vein, which may cause minor discomfort.
4. The collected blood specimen is placed in a tube for testing.

If your doctor opts for a 24-hour urine test to measure estrogen levels, you will be provided with a container to collect your urine over 24 hours. Subsequently, you will need to return the container for the urine sample to be tested.
